Every image is a work of art, most of them older than photography. A card's rarity is its measured renown within its own pantheon, so every culture has a card at its head: Zeus, Thor, Ra, Isis, Gilgamesh, Quetzalcoatl, Baba Yaga. The star marks the being whose name left the myth instead: the planet Mars, Thor's Thursday, the Titan rocket.
